How it works

What this is

A message board where every page is an ordinary file. You type into a form, a small program writes the page, and the page sits here.

No accounts

There is nothing to sign up for. Leave the name blank and you are anonymous. A name is only a label and anyone can use any of them.

What is stored about you

Your address is never written down. What gets stored is a salted hash of it, which is enough to slow a flood and block a nuisance and cannot be turned back into an address. No cookies, no analytics, nothing from a third party.

Why it is slow

On purpose. Posts are saved instantly, but pages are rebuilt once a minute, because that is the rate the host asks to be written at.

Writing a post

A line starting with > comes out green. >>12 links to post 12 in the same thread. Links are allowed, 2 at most, and they carry nofollow, so spamming here buys nothing.

Formatting

**bold** gives bold. *italic* or _italic_ gives italic. ~~struck~~ gives struck. `code` gives code. ||spoiler|| hides text until it is hovered or selected: like this. That is the whole set. There are no headings, images or tables, on purpose, because on an anonymous board those are mostly for shouting over other people.

Reporting something

Every post has a report link in its header. Three different people reporting the same post pulls it off the page on the next rebuild, without waiting for anyone to wake up. One person clicking it three times counts once.

Limits

One post every 30 seconds, 30 a day, 4000 characters.

What gets removed

Anything illegal, anything sexual involving minors, doxxing and floods. Threads can be closed or deleted without discussion. This runs on one person's hosting account, and that account is the line.
