things on the internet, and whether they are still there

About  what this is for

A directory tells you what exists. This tells you what is left.

The checker
Every entry is fetched on a timer. Still there means the address answered. Gone means it did not, several times running, and the date shown is the first failure of that run rather than the day somebody noticed. An entry that dies keeps its row.
What gets kept
Net radio stations, small web pages, places art still gets posted, and lain or wired artifacts. Things run by people rather than companies.
The players
Station rows carry a play button and a .pls file for a real player. The audio comes from the station's own server and nothing loads until you press play. This site hosts no audio, partly on principle and partly because a free host is not allowed to.
What is stored about you
Nothing that identifies you. A submission keeps a salted hash of your address to slow floods down, and that cannot be turned back into an address. No cookies, no analytics, nothing from a third party.
A note on dates
Some sites ask the Wayback Machine not to keep them, so their history is blank even when they existed for years. Where that happens the date here is when this archive first found them gone, which is the only date anybody can honestly give.
